Saboteur is a World War II game, but one that focuses on Parisian partisans rather than soldiers or generals. The gameplay feels ripped from Assassin's Creed/GTA, while the protagonist is a walking Irish stereotype rather than the Brit he was based on or a Frenchie (to be fair, not many Irish protagonists in games, so maybe a step forward?). Nonetheless, for the stale World War II market of FPS and strategy, this partisan approach makes Saboteur a breath of fresh air. Not perfect, but a refreshing new concept, and one I hope will see more exploration in the future.
