7/10

Tsukihime is so far one of the weakest written Visual Novels I've played, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
the shine is both in the simplicity of the writing and in how the author explores his concepts, questions about life and death and the exploration of the psychological mind of the protagonist Tohno Shiki are great. at each route, the universe of the work expands and reveals yet another layer of development in the protagonist, making him very human and interesting.
Each Heroine is not far behind, each route explores a different perspective of each character regarding how they are living and this the author knows how to work very well.

now comes the shit on the fan.

The redundancies and repetitions extremely present in the work make everything very confusing and sometimes contradictory, the desperation to add Eroge scenes just to attract the public and sell, spoiled a lot of quality things that were being developed.
in some routes, expository dialogues are very present and are often not well distributed, making everything unnatural and tiring. I felt like reading a Fanfic.

I am definitely interested in consuming more of Kinoko Nasu's works. he knows how to create many interesting and creative concepts, as well as a very rich universe.
