The year is 2011, got my Xbox 360 from my father after begging for months. The weird, edgy and shy boy that I was could not wait to play new cool and gory games from that generation of consoles. I think that was the peak of the "cool, dark, gory and edgy" wave in gaming. Play as a assassin, a demon, a douche. You had so much to choose from. I always thought that stuff related to "demons and the apocalypse" were amazing, so Darksiders was a natural pick for me. At the time I did not like it very much, got frustrated with the puzzles and could not understand english properly to enjoy the over the top story. Years later I have the opportunity to try again, remastered and with a new mindset.

Not a masterpiece, too many problems.... But oh it is fun. What you have here is a Hack and Slash with simple mechanics, nice designs, fun puzzles and a satisfactory (but dumb) story. War is not the best protagonist, but he is bland enough to not make the game bad (to be honest the demons are the best ones). The game rewards exploration, which is a must for me. The battles are not that intense or varied, but they are fun. The music really lacks, and is one of the weakest aspects of the game.
