In many ways, it's similar to the old Need for Speed games, which I like, but there are some questionable mechanics that make the game frustrating to play.
Drifting is very bad, so the best way to play the game for most of the time is to use a grippy car.
The police is very aggressive, and I really despise the fact that you gain REP only during night time, it's very annoying to grind levels while getting wrecked by the police.
On the bright side the car customization is fantastic, probably one of the best in the series, buying cars and customizing them is very fun.
Also I really like the "street racing" vibe, recent Need for Speed games lacked this but Heat brings it back.
