Honestly, when the trailers came out I wasn't that excited for this game, but when it launched everyone was talking how it was great so I gave it a try, and I'm glad I did.

The game is pretty awesome, it really feels like the pokémon that everyone always ask for but never really get.

The mechanics are pretty fun, specially cause it goes a bit out of the regular mechanics of the main series. As someone who loved the spin off, such as ranger and mystery dungeon, much more than the main series I think it's a pretty awesome way to escape the old Pokémon formula.

I do have some complains though.

I really loved how you actually have to do tasks to complete the Pokédex instead of just catching a Pokémon, it makes sense with the game themes, but the points you get for completing it aren't that much, specially for perfect completion, which you would expect to be a lot of points, so you don't really have a true motivation to complete it, specially cause it can get kinda boring doing some of the tasks.

I also had some issues with the game balance. In a lot of battles it felt like the oponnent was way stronger than the player. I lost count how many times my Pokémon was IKed with a non-effective move. Also, the mechanics of speed, much like other RPGs like Final Fantasy X, instead of simply one hit each other every turn are fun but can be really frustrating when you just watch a bunch of pokémon mercilessly beat your pokémon to death, specially on battle with more than one oponnent.

Overall, I had a lot of fun with the game, specially the boss battles, I absolutely loved them, they were my favorite part of the entire game.

I really think that if they polish this formula we can have even better games in the future.
