Sonic Superstars is not an overall bad package by any means, but it is one of the hardest sells ever. Great stuff in the first half that do make it feel very analogous to the hedgehog's classic era games before it runs a bit out of puff and tries weird tricks that don't quite land in the 2nd half. And HOO BOY, the bonus stuff has some tedium & frustration on a whole new level that is downright inexcusable.
You'll get gold in this mine and some extra hours if you wish to perfect speedruns for time attacks but unfortunately, you'll lose loads of canaries finding it. This is such a hard sell to make to the average gaming fan - wait for a discounted price and it'll be more worth it.
