absolutely a step up from the first. i loved the relationship between six and mono as well as the way six as a partner was able to actually be helpful (which i feel a lot of games struggle with). this game is really immersive and retains the beautiful atmosphere the original had and the ending made my body genuinely run cold. my only complaint lies with the fact that this game can definitely be a little buggy; i once was missing a part of a puzzle i needed to solve it and ran around like a headless chicken trying to figure it out for about 15 minutes, and ended up needing to redo the chapter (loading it up regularly didn't fix it) which resulted in me losing an annoying chunk of progress.
