I honestly can't believe this game is as good as it is. I was cautiously optimistic leading up to its release thinking "well it may just look good". But no, in addition to nailing the classic 80s look it is legit fun. The levels are varied and still evoke the arcade/NES/cartoon. Its exactly the right amount of catering to my fandom while supplying a legit engaging experience.
I can't wait to try this with a group of people so I may pick up the Switch version just for that since I have more controllers for that one. There is a progression system and quest structure that works but could have been a little deeper. I liked the overworld map addition though. It feels seamless. Good game and I look forward to more.
