QUICK PS5 REVIEW:NO DEADZONES SO MENU NAVIGATION IS DOGSHIT OTHERWISE BETTER THAN PC VERSION I GUESS
Very sad to say but Deathloop is one of Arkane's worst games that I've played (havent played Arc or Dark Messiah ). While the gunplay is amazing and the locales are some of Arkanes best (Void Engine still dookie) the game itself is plagued with fundamental design issues that boggle my mind in how odd they are. AI is absolutely BROKEN and feels unfinished half the time making regular fights a complete joke that only really get hard because of the sheer NUMBERS thrown at you (doesnt help there's only really just one form besides Julianna). Speaking of which I like the idea of the invasions but they also feel incredibly clunky and kinda dull with annoying gimmicks. Roguelike mechanics also feel absolutely throwaway with having to deal with some of the shittiest menus in an Arkane game (actually shocked how rough these were). Writing is mostly fine with Colt and Julianna having pretty fun banter with each other (much better than D2s use of voiced protagonists) but the actual targets are just kinda bleh. PC port is dogshit with weird Vsync issues and random frame drops. Overall i think the game isn't bad but certainly one of if not Arkanes weakest attempts. Under no circumstances buy this game at full price it's not worth it AT ALL

Honestly the more I think back to Deathloop the more I can't really be positive about it. I guess it's a fun shooter and looks gorgeous but all my issues really make the entire experience not worth it. Just play Prey Mooncrash it's just Deathloop but 100 times better.
