Was a defender of the original version of this game before the devs took it down and pretended that was always the plan. That was annoying, but hey, giving the game a year or so extra to cook and maybe working on some of the bad feeling progression would probably do the game a lot of good, right?

No.

Everything is worse. The gameplay is way slower and clunkier, even less balanced and filled with infinites. There's somehow still no SBMM or ranked play? Microtransactions and monetization is even more unreasonable. The battlepass is somehow less fun and even slower. Personally my controller support was entirely broken and I ended up having to switch to a keyboard to even play which felt awful. This game is a disaster. It's a real shame too. Tons of potential just absolutely wasted.
