I always end up coming back to this game and wanting to express my thoughts on it more, because it's just too good of a conclusion. I seriously couldn't have asked for a better time to get into this series, it kind of helped offer a distraction for a time that was quite painful for me, thankfully those days are long gone; but I digress.

I have never been so invested in a world like I've been with Trails. Throughout these 10 games I've fallen in love with how this series builds a vastly large cast, while also making sure most of them have something you can always remember them by. You could argue that it could a slow burn during it's arc beginnings but it's oh-so worth it once you finally experience what this series has to offer. And lets not forget how incredible the soundtrack in literally every game is, Azure being my most favorite.

For now, lets move on to the game itself. Hajimari is undeniably the best of the Trails games so far, think of it as CS4 being a celebration to the series but multiply it by a hundred times. Falcom killed it with this game, best storytelling the series has seen and it will only get better from here. So many clues from the previous games tie so incredibly well into this game, It's astonishing. Gameplay itself is too fun, also kind of serves as a culmination of far it has improved it's turn based combat all the way from Sky FC. The episodes were a pretty cool new addition to Hajimari while also putting the emotional finishing touches on an certain character.

How this game handles it's 3 routes is unbelievable, more linear than most games in the series and my god does it nail it's culmination. It provides a well deserved closure to the main protagonists of the game, all 3 of them being phenomenal and 2 of them being as I said prior in previous reviews.

On a personal note, Rean is...definitely the most relatable Trails character for me and one of my favorite video game characters, he's also quite similar to another character I know. In this game he has everything that was already established in the previous CS games about him turned up to 11 and expands even more on his motivations, his struggles, and on his development.

Trails is something I will keep close and dear to my heart, because throughout these games this series manages to achieve only the most wonderful things. My favorite franchise of all time, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Though I know another Trails game is bound to surpass this one I more or less just wanted to fully contextualize on how this series has affected me, since it also marks the end of the first half of the series. Nonetheless, thank you for everything Falcom
