I didn't know anything about the game beforehand so my experience went like this:

-After finishing the first route: OK this game's cool and all that but I don't see anything particularly impressive.

-After the second route: All right this game's really good, and now I can understand the game clearly (I was dead wrong as I learned soon after)! The twists were a bit cliche though.

After the third route: They weren't lying. This game really is a masterpiece.

Although it got too anime-ish for me sometimes, they were not enough to impact negatively to the rest of the game. I love how the story is told through, not to mention the story itself is brilliant and really thought-provoking, music is absolutely beautiful, the gameplay is especially innovative (though I'm still unsure about the combat, it kinda feels off for a game so heavily combat focused) and there is a deep worldbuilding. Even the UI is very immersive and tinkering with it could lead to a small ending itself.

So yes,the game is a masterpiece indeed. It's a bit of a slow burner, but especially after the first half of Route 2 things get really interesting. Just don't torture yourself with keyboard and mouse controls like myself. It's definitely doable, but with controller it would be far more satisfying I think.

Sorry for the messy "review" everyone, but I have one final note:
Ending E could be the most meaningful ending a game ever had.
