Another entry in that weird subgenre of games that loves having children die in graphic, gruesome ways.

Serious talking now, it's a pretty game to look at. The culture presented is very novel for me, but it's a shallow presentation.

Bramble has some great set pieces, and it's probably the most entertaining of its kind that I've played. However, I'd have loved it if it had leaned a little more in the puzzle side of it, because the few ones that were here were very good, it kind of even felt like a point-and-click or a graphic adventure at those points.

Most of the time, though, the game is about taking in the scenery, stealthily sneaking through some bad guys, and walking. And for what it is, it is finely crafted and conveyed. It has to be said, as well, it can get at least slightly scary at some points.

Played for... I don't have an actual time this time, as I kind of played this game when it had already left Xbox Game Pass, by disconnecting the console for the internet completely., Apparently when you do that, AND if the game asks you for a connection but you select "play offline", the game doesn't register your time on your profile, nor does it unlock any achievements and doesn't even save your screenshots or videos? I'm afraid, however, this isn't Xbox being clever and excluding us cheaters who try to play a game that isn't in the Game Pass service anymore, more like it's the Xbox ecosystem being almost nearly useless without an internet connection.

I'd say it took me around 7 hours finishing this one, I guess, through Xbox Game Pass on Xbox Series S
