I'm not sure if I liked this one or Super Metroid more. Both are great games with their own good and bad things about them. Super Metroid is longer and has more bosses, but it's easier to get lost and the map isn't very good. Zero Mission though is a bit shorter (even with the extra bit at the end), but it's not as easy to get lost due to the waypoints given to you by chozo statues throughout the game, along with the map just being so much better showing you were rooms connect with each other. I can see what kinds of doors are where and what rooms are one way/dead ends. I also have mixed feelings about the controls in comparison to Super Metroid. I think overall I do like them better with being able to switch between missiles, super missiles, and normal shooting much quicker using R, but it took some time to adjust to pressing L and down to angle down instead of accidentally use missiles trying to angle it instead, but it's 110% worth it for being able to switch between missiles so much quicker.

Edit: This game is very difficult to 100%, I love getting full completion in games, but I kind of regret doing it for this one. There are some very precise tricks required to get certain items, one of which took over a half hour even abusing save states, it would've easily taken a few hours if I couldn't save state. Very fun game to play through, and currently my favorite of the two Metroid games I've played thus far, but I considered more than a few times to just leave the game with being beaten and not 100%'d
