This sequel to Soul Reaver picks off exactly where it left off. This game presents an interesting story about fate, predestination and the immutability of history told through Raziel, a Vampire turned Wraith. However, this Interesting story can't save a game that is intensely linear, incredibly back track heavy and filled with combat that ranges from dull to frustrating. Things like optional items to increase maximum health, glyphs to perform powerful spells and optional areas in general are gone, leaving no incentive to ever do anything but run straight to the next objective. Unless you simply have to play the game to see it for yourself you are much better off looking up the cutscenes online
