idk this game is pretty mediocre. I like the story. I like Sayama. Ryuji is okay as a villain/antagonist, and the big reveal at the end was really stupid. However, there were lots of pacing issues, sometimes you'd be in a very dire situation and the game is like, "okay let's go tour the city with haruka!" It felt weird and it was really annoying. There's also the Majima Saga, which isn't that crazy. Majima felt nice to control but it was over in an hour. It was nice fanservice though.

The best aspect of this game was the side quests. Every single one I encountered was very enjoyable and funny. Except for the one that makes me play Majong. I'm not doing that shit. Definitely improved from Kiwami 1 here.

Now for the worst part, the combat. In this game, you only have one (1) combat style, which is slow and clunky until endgame. It was genuinely grueling to fight things in this game. You now also have attacks bounce off of enemies that are blocking, which is so incredibly annoying. You're stuck in an animation for half a second and are just stuck there. What makes it even worse is when Kiryu blocks, enemies can continue attacking through them instead of bouncing off them like you do when enemies block. It's the worst. The combat levels/stages were also much less engaging; it didn't have those fancy animated cutscenes that transitioned between stages. Now, there are just walls you have to break.

I also don't like the new engine. The game looks better for sure, but it also feels a lot slower and clunkier, which I don't like.

TLDR: combat sucks
