It's hard to say if it's the precise qualities of GTA V, or just diminishing returns on a franchise that's giving more of the same but with higher technical specs and more exploitative online money making. Really if I loved GTA III as much as I did then GTA V should be rated just as highly, and yet I simply never enjoyed it close to as much as the series' 3D debut.
