Munziskertum reviewed The Callisto Protocol
I completed the game on the first day. The design is stunning, and the attention to detail in the graphics is remarkable. Despite being The Stutter Protocol at launch, the developers promptly released a patch within 12 hours, fixing the necessary elements. This level of feedback is superior to most games, even though some critics argue that the game was released prematurely.

The game mechanics are straightforward, but don't be fooled - you will die. While the game is less terrifying than Dead Space, it certainly leaves an impression. As the creator mentioned in an interview, this game is a tribute to the Survival Horror genre that he grew up playing, including classics like Silent Hill and Resident Evil - games I regretfully never experienced. It's a nostalgic nod to the origins of this genre, yet Schofield has managed to create something fresh and refined.

While it doesn't quite reach the heights of Dead Space, it surpasses a mere Remake. After all, in the Bible, Jacob is Isaac's son.

My only gripe is the lack of kinesis on objects that can be stored in the backpack. Why can Isaac do it, but not Jacob?

As for the 2-hour DLC, don't bother. If you're interested in playing Whac-A-Mole, there are other places to do so. The plot twist is intriguing, but it primarily revolves around the Hammer and the thrill of whacking monsters like moles.
