It's been a really long time coming but man, I can finally say that one of the newer Mario Parties are actually great! Where Super Mario Party was rough but still a step in the right direction, Mario Party Superstars delivers a game bursting with great personality and nostalgia. The boards they chose are honestly great, most of the minigames were great choses to include, the remastered music is phenomenal, it's fantastic. Heck, they even improve some minigames, like the two rotating stick minigames from MP1, you don't even have to use the palm of your hand and it works great! The only reason I didn't give it a 4.5 is because, there were some minigames I did question as to why they choose to bring back (like Piranha's Pursuit, Sneak n' Snore, and especially Bowser's Big Blast), only a few minigames like Tidal Toss felt downgraded (although that's just one minigame listed out of 100) and I do wish there was more unlock able content, seriously how cool would it have been if they included boards like Waluigi's Island? It would've been great to see MP3 get fair treatment with its board inclusion instead of having just one. It also would've been nice to include a few more characters to be playable, but that's only minor nitpicking. The experience is still great and it's a blast to play with friends! If they ever did updates to this game, I hope they give it more features in the future. Let's hope this installment leads to bigger and better things for future Mario Party titles!
