First Destiny game offered just the basic fps gameplay and there was no time to explain anything or even start with the story. That's why everything was unknown, clouded with mystery and world was somewhat interesting. Destiny 2 on the other hand has all the time in the world to tell you a story, and it's all about moron manbabies fighting against another for manbabical reasons, and what ever facination world of Destiny had on the first game is now gone. If you have no story to tell, it's best to just shut up.
