today ive beat the final boss of the hub quests, meaning im done with this game until i decide to get sunbreak.
honestly monster hunter rise is not a very good monster hunter game, a lot of quote unquote "quality of life" makes for a substantially easier and quite frankly boring experience. it being a follow up to world, a game i despise, doesnt help its case either.
that being said, i think this can be a fun on and off game, if you pace yourself, play it maybe once a week, and ideally with friends, if you have those.
as a side note: having beat this just one day after we got the gameplay reveal for wilds makes me realize what capcom wants this franchise to become isnt what made me get into it.
i guess i should be happy for the newcomers that have some new franchise to get into. but at the end of the day i really wish we had an HD collection of the past games (1, Dos, FU, 3U, P3, 4U and GU) and also more alternatives to monster hunter. feels like we havent had a proper competitor since the ps vita.
