This game is freaking great. It takes the best parts of the original RE4 and pumps them up to 11, while also fixing some of its weaker points, like changing some repetitive areas, giving Luis more screentime or even tuning the entirety of Ashley as a concept and a character. It reminds me of the first game's remake in a way, as they are both pretty similar to the original game they're remaking but giving them a creepier atmosphere, which works really well for them both. I do have some minor problems though, for example I miss how the villains talked with Leon through his codec, which gave them more personality that is kind of lacking in this game. Saddler also has much less of a presence here than in the original, which already wasn't that big so here he feels even more underwhelming as a final boss. And yeah, everyone has been talking about Ada, so I'll just say her VA's performance is kind of mediocre and I don't like how weirdly mean she is to Leon. Also they cut a really cool boss but I get why. There may be things that I prefer in the original, but for me this is still the best way to experience this awesome game.
