Salvages the entire arcade gameplay of the original to make it more similar to games that have already come out, adding a Resident Evil 4 coat on top of it, and calls it a day. It's unrewarding to the point that I've felt absolutely no desire to play it after I've beaten it, which is total opposite of my stance on the original Resident Evil 4.

Parries? They’re in! Gotta have em.
People like the Last of Us right? Make sure we got stealth and gun sway.
Every game has RPG progression systems and side quests, make sure we got those too!

This summary echoes what I thought the game would be, and it's the reason I won't try it out.

The "can't knock it until you try it guys", who are putting their hands in a lion's mouth to see if it bites, complain when you won't give games a fair shake, but it seemed obvious it'd turn out this way. RE2 2019 and RE3 2020 + a knife-parry does not a remake of RE4 2005 make.
