Armored Core was a challenging game, but once I came to grips with the controls, it was a deeply enjoyable experience.

The graphics were great for the PS1 era, and the music was awesome. The story, while sparse, did a lot to immerse me in the uncaring futuristic world in which it's set.

If you're not afraid of a difficult control scheme, and if you enjoy diving into menus to tweak your build, then definitely give Armored Core a look.
