Hiberno-core: Games which take place in Ireland
What it says on the tin - a list of games which are either entirely or partially set in our wee corner of the world. Featuring a disproportionately large amount of adventure, horror and/or sports games, which is honestly quite apt.
Honourable mention to Mordhau, which is as far as I'm aware the only game in which you can play as a gallowglass (although For Honor has a skin loosely styled after them too).

The posterboy. Irish mythology appears in Japanese media much more often than you'd think, but this is the only one I'm aware of which actually takes place here in its entirety, specifically in the village of Doolin down in County Clare.
Also one of the more unique PS3 exclusives besides, a bit reminiscent of a Japan Studio (pbuh) game. Do play it if you get the chance.

Wrath of the Druids DLC. An authentic glimpse into our daily lives.
Viking Conquest DLC, along with the really popular Brytenwalda mod which was made by the same people.
The (similarly very good) 1257AD mod lets you visit Ireland too and features faithful recreations of 13th century Irish towns and cities as described by contemporary manuscripts. It only has one Irish faction, unlike Viking Conquest and Brytenwalda, but that's to be expected considering it also covers most of the known world at the time in addition to Ireland.

You can play as Ireland in the base game, but I've included it mainly for the Kingdoms expansion pack, which has a campaign partially set during the Norman invasion of Ireland.
One of the main playable factions is the Kingdom of Mide (modern day County Meath).
The multiplayer map Aground takes place somewhere along our coast. Actually looks the part too, gunfights notwithstanding.
There's a multiplayer map technically set in Ireland, but it's actually just a reskin of a map set in Russia with more beer bottles and leprechaun bobbleheads scattered about. This hits pretty close to home.
Has a level in which you travel to Ireland to prevent an offshoot of the IRA from obtaining Syphon Filter™, available in stores now.
Lara comes to Ireland and encounters a host of demonic apparitions. Naturally.
Set in a fictional estate off the coast of Ireland.
Has a stage set on the outskirts of Castle Connell down in County Limerick.
One chapter has you exploring a rural Irish monastery as a monk.
Lets you visit the Hill of Tara, Navan Fort, Carrowmore, Dún Ailinne and the parish of Ardagh.
A chapter takes place in a fictional Irish village called Lochmarne.
There's a couple of goats who hang around in a coastal town not far from where I live called Cushendun, and I found a picture of one of them on Twitter captioned #lochmarne. That was pretty cute.

Same as the original game. Featuring Lochmarne from the Ireland series.
As you would expect.
Yeah.
...hmm.
Takes place in and around a fictional Irish castle called (you guessed it) Castle Molloy.
Has a chapter set in Ireland which I believe features a pub (again, naturally).
