Both phases of the game are needlessly convoluted. It's not that they're insurmountable, it's just a lot of dumb steps to perform basic actions for the sake of making the game seem complex. At the very least it feels like the designers were trying to stay true to the themes of Tron, but I just don't think it's very fun to play.
