The curse of becoming iconic is that you perpetually live with the expectations of your own legend. The first Space Invaders was so impactful because video games were still in their infancy at the time and nothing else played like it. Seven years of progress have made this sequel less impactful than its predecessor, but it's still a really good game. It adds robust graphics, maintains good sound effects, and mixes the classic gameplay with some Galaga flavor.
