It belongs to the convoluted Dragon Slayer family, but very much lives in its own little pocket of that franchise. The visuals, despite being very drab, are some of the best on the NES, with the music being decent but not particularly memorable. The gameplay itself focuses more on the action than the RPG aspects in this one, and for the most part it works well except for some annoyances with the jumping.
