Despite shoving just about every perspective style possible into this JRPG, the gameplay still ends up being a miss. That kind of summarizes things in general for this game: all of the individual components are so middling that the only possible outcome here is for an aggressively average JRPG that came out when many others had already established themselves with their own unique flavors. There's a reason there's no Sword of Vermilion 2.
