I didn't learn of the Atari Jaguar's existence until the early 2000s, so I didn't get to experience this game around its release, but it must have been disappointing for people who were probably expecting a lot from the first self-described 64-bit console.

While the game does featured polygonal 3D, the art direction is pretty awful. The levels all look like you're flying through the insides of an everlasting gobstopper and the the game suffers from uneven frame rates. The ship's morphing animations are probably the neatest visual trick, but that's pretty much all they are. The gameplay itself is very dull free-roam flying with some basic shooting and collection objectives. Not a great start for this ill-fated system.
