A very rough game. Sometimes you get a seed that cannot be completed without using console commands. Or maybe an SCP ends up bugging out and you cannot get past them.

Yet still for some reason, I would give this game 4.5 out of 5. I know it has a lot of flaws, it is far from perfect, but it holds a special place in my heart. I first found out about this game through markiplier. Over time, I think i must have rewatched his SCP CB series at least 4 or 5 times. God such fond memories.

Back to the game.

It. Is. Terrifying. Amnesia the Dark Descent level of terrifying. But unlike Amnesia, this game is extremely upfront with the scares. Instead of it being fear of the unknown and worrying if you will be found, like in Amnesia. In SCP CB all you can do is run, and you better not run into a dead end. Yes you can use SCP 1499 to escape from 049 and 106, which does greatly reduce the fear factor of the game. But getting to 1499 is anything but easy, you are gonna need a high enough level keycard, you have to find it, which is hard because the map is often really hard to get around, since everything looks so similar. Hope you don't run into 049, 106 or 173 on your way there.

The story is not that special. To be honest there is very little to talk about when it comes to the story. But that is not a bad thing. This game does not need a good story. It needs to be fun and scary at the same time which it does meticulously well. The gameplay whilst simple is rather engaging. You run, blink and have an inventory. You can combine some items, you can use some items in certain places. Not really complex. Yet it functions very well.

Now the bread and butter of the game. The monsters. THE SCPS.

I love the SCP wiki, i have read a couple hundred articles from beginning to end, and honestly, one day I plan to read them all. So many cool and fun SCPs are in this game. The ones you will see most often are 173, 049 and 106. But besides them. In the basement there are
