I adored this game as a kid, would've touted it as my favorite for a couple of years there. On this recent roleplay I discovered that, while I still love this game, there are some flaws.

At the time this came out, it was probably the best ARPG on consoles, easily. I played it at that time as a young kid and adored it. I had rented it so many times and had my mom buy it for me (in fact buy it for me a few times since young me didn't care about cases... Ugh). Many aspects of this game remains impressive today, namely the variety of locations and enemies is fantastic. Loot is rewarding and satisfying. The many different classes to play as are distinct and fun. Various weapons. Etc. The voice acting ranges from great to serviceable, and the music just sounds like that loving adventurous fantasy like Oblivion. Though, on the negative sides: The game is too long in my opinion, by the end I wanted to be done. Quests are either collect x number of things or activate x thing in y place. The dungeons towards the end get laboriously long. And there are random difficulty spikes that occur and don't feel balanced for the comparable ease after them. Another positive note though is co-op for this game is fantastic, playing through this game with friends is an absolute blast! Overall, I'd say this game is worth playing though! It captures that fantasy feeling of wanting to be a warrior or mage killing evil enemies and looting many riches perfectly!
