Sonic Unleashed, the 2nd official Sonic game I've ever played after Sonic Adventure DX, both on the PlayStation 3.
It is a bit hard to review this game without some nostalgic bits, so I'll get the stuff that I do agree I didn't like out of the way: You shouldn't have to collect so many Sun and Moon medals and the Werehog battle theme shouldn't have been repeated this much.
BUT HOT DAMN, this is my favourite game of all time despite that. The gameplay, both day-time and night-time, is fun and thrilling to go through; I love interacting with the NPCs and explore the hubworlds; I love the story and how it strikes a perfect balance between being serious and light-hearted; I love the music and the graphics, that even 12 years later, still hold up; and the game, most of all, is charming and you can tell the team was passionate about it.
Short into the point, I love this game and I would advice anybody to give this game a shot, even if it may get difficult towards the end.
