This review is for the story mode and the survival mode.

Story mode, also known as Wintermute, is a big slog. It takes a VERY long time to move between objectives, particularly in chapter 3, when you have to worry about timber wolves tailing you A LOT. That chapter also have one of the longest and most tedious story objectives: carry someone for a half hour to a shelter via a very roundabout route while avoiding, you guessed it: wolves. I couldn't go past this part, as it was just so much time investment for a game where you're just walking.

As for the survival mode, it's competent, and it allows you to choose between several maps to survive in. However, it's play until you die, and it feels like a marathon for really no point. I get that it's survival, but it really does feel like it's pointless at times.
