It recreates the experience of not knowing anything about farming and the trial and error of it very well, mostly because a lot of stuff isn't explained in depth and are left for you to discover.
There's replay value in case you want to try other ways of farming, there are many endings that you can get at once and that's a neat touch to me, like a listing of your achievements.
Is just fun how it scratches that itch for repetitive actions that reward you nicely with the money number going up.
Unocking more about the farm, the different animals, more ways to earn cash, the secrets of the countryside you live in, it feels pretty magical and gives a bigger scope for a game with a map this small.
There's downsides, dialogue is not the best, translation is very basic, the game has a lot of glitches (most aren't a problem but others force you to reset the game at times, but you have to actively look for them), I even encountered a glitch that prevented me from getting a power berry, only reason I didn't put this game as Mastered lol; and the worst to me, there's a point in which if you have as much cows or chickens as you can, or too many crops, there's a very noticeable slowdown, I swear part of why I didn't finish this game sooner is because of this.
However this game is the simplest in the series to pick up, despite everything it's simplicity compared with what the future games whould bring makes this one a bit more relaxing to me.
