Okay, let's be honest: there was a 0% chance of a Mortal Kombat action-platformer turning out any better than average, especially in the year 1997. That said, this is a particularly incompetent example of the genre, and one that disappointed many hardcore MK fans such as myself back in the day. The concept of taking individual MK characters and building a series of non-fighting games around them was a potentially interesting one, and Shaolin Monks would later fulfill that potential. It's too bad that Mythologies killed that idea before it even got off the ground. It's also notable for containing the most baffling "moral choice" I've ever seen in a video game.
