This game is an absolutely masterpiece, in my opinion better than DMC3, all the errors that the previous DMC have, this one fixes them, pure essence of DMC, a story even a little better than DMC3, the level design has improved a lot, the gameplay is definitely the best gameplay I have ever played, the best Hack N Slash I have played in terms of gameplay.
Especially Vergil's gameplay, his DLC, his Gameplay is from another world. I love it and it's too much fun.
This game is one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played, in absolutely everything, it may have some flaws, like V's Gameplay, which is a bit bad if you compare it to the other characters, but it is unique, and works very well. Well, it is a defect but at the same time it is not.
The weapons, the skills, the enemies, everything is absolutely incredible, a work of art, these aspects have improved a lot, aspects that give weight to the Gameplay in a drastic way, something that in the previous games it barely gave, in this game each weapon you use to use yes or yes, to have incredible combos, it may seem confusing, and difficult to remember, but it is simple, with a lot of quantity.
The world design is one of my favorites, it is totally beautiful and those graphics 10/10.
The characters, like Nero in this game, improves a lot, but not too much, like Dante, they are characters that don't improve much, but they are good, on the other hand... Vergil, is a different thing, something shocking. Vergil is a quite enigmatic character, you should focus a lot on his actions, he is a character that is one of the best antagonists in gaming in my opinion, much better than Dante. Either because of its objectives, because of its completely crazy complexity, or because of its execution, which has no consistency flaws whatsoever. He is a character that actually appears little, except in DMC3, but everything he does is executed perfectly with his surroundings, apart from being one of the coolest and coldest characters of all lmfao.
His psychology, dialogues and philosophy are quite extensive, quite enigmatic, he is a character worth analyzing, because he does not have anything bad, unlike Dante. I'm not saying I don't like Dante. I love Dante, especially that he uses humor and absurdity to hide his pain. But he is a character that is not very dynamic, and that is not bad, he is very good, but not at Vergil's level.

I didn't expect the end of the game, I feel like it was a bit rushed, and I would have liked more conflicts in Dante and Vergil's fight, but it was equally incredible. Especially both of them making that decision, sacrificing their freedom, together, for the good of the world. It's amazing, and their Vergil and Dante dynamic is even more amazing.

Other characters, like Nico, are fun, but nothing more, they are simply there, and that's it. Lady's character seems too wasted to me in this game, she doesn't contribute much, she is simply beautiful, in DMC3 at least she had her own arc and was a good character, in this DMC she doesn't do much, although it is understandable, she is a human.

This game is wonderful, CapCom should make a DMC3 remake instead of Resident Evil remakes omg, in that case it would surely be better than this one.
The difficulty of this game is quite simple, I mean it is difficult, but if you know how to play and you have played the previous games it is easy, of course, this is what I am saying, I have had too many golden gems, almost full life and Devil Trigger. And telling him without replaying the game at its maximum difficulty, that there it will surely be chaos.

This game is a Hack N Slash masterpiece, this saga is totally worth it, and I will surely read Visions of V to see Vergil's quality in more depth.

And I want to talk about the meaning of Alpha and Omega quickly, since it's something I love in Vergil, we begin.
Alpha and omega (Greek: Α- Ω or ω) are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, traditionally used as a beginning and ending phrase. In the book of Revelation this combination is found to refer to Jesus Christ and therefore to God, and they are often attached to the cross, the chrism or other Christian symbols.

This can be interpreted in two ways, beginning and end of Dante's story, beginning and end of DMC5 and (so far) beginning and end of Nero's story.
It also means power in Vergil. If everything begins and ends with me, I have absolute power and authority over everything, beginning, middle and end, choosing the course of events at my discretion. Similarly, Vergil reached the absolute pinnacle of power when he tied the Qliphoth fruit and rejoined himself.
It can also be interpreted as eternal suffering and obsession. Since in the Bible, this phrase is interpreted by many Christians as meaning that God existed from the beginning of time and that he will exist forever.
Since Vergil was little, thinking that his mother abandoned him, he was left alone, with a dead mother, a brother disappeared. do, and with a lot of resentment for his mother and Mundus. Thus becoming obsessed with power to end up killing Mundus. What this causes eternal suffering, having the obsession with power, makes him suffer all possible misfortunes, because to have more power, Vergil will do anything, even in DMC5, here, his obsession is shown to us more clearly, He is able to separate his humanity and only remain a demon, reflecting his obsession with power, that it does not matter what Vergil has to suffer, power is everything. We go back to the beginning of everything, basically it would be when Vergil and Dante's mother died, the beginning of his suffering and obsession, and so on continuously, in DMC 3 he fights with Dante, ends up losing and throws himself into hell which will remain locked up for decades. , suffering and enduring. He comes back possessing an enemy, Angelo, and ends up losing again. Locked up again, it doesn't matter what he does. Even DMC5, which even his body is suffering at first, until he merges with his humanity. In summary.
Vergil's life, if we interpret it as Christians want with God, is then an eternal suffering and obsession, from the first game to the last, even Dante cannot be happy. And at the end of DMC5, back to the underworld, locked up for the good of humanity, but with his brother. If they make any DMC 6 I doubt it, Vergil is clear that his obsession with his power will never end and they make it clear here.
