Note: This review covers Lunar 2 on SCD and PS1. Overall I prefer Lunar: The Silver Star on SEGA CD, but this game is also highly reccomended.
Pros: (compared to Eternal Blue on SCD): No magic EXP.
Pros: (In general): Great cast of characters. Lucia x Hiro is mostly a good pairing. Mystere is one of the best comic relief characters, ever, it's JUUUSTICE!. Enjoyable cast of characters overall. Many emotional moments. Zophar is one hell of a final boss fight. Many funny anime-esque hijinks (your opinions may vary here.) Great translation and voice acting like most Working Designs games. I dare say Truitt's Ghaleon may have more memorable dialogue her than in the first game, despite his reduced plot-importance. Beautiful character art. Every character has unique skills. Simple but enjoyable turn based combat, with a range stat not usually found in other RPGs.
Cons: Lucia is AI-controlled for the entire game. Everyone has their own goals to some extent, but you can still control Jean/Lemia/Ronfar/Leo's actions, so I can't see why you can't control Lucia's actions after the incident in the Zulan mountains. Zophar is a generic antagonist compared to L1's Ghaleon. Kinda cringe-worthy power of humanity speeches.(cons compared to SCD version only): Grainy FMV unless using a high-end CRT, also fewer FMV scenes.
