Okay, so before my second playthrough I didn't quite get the hype. Yeah, I thought it was great but not anywhere near some people placed it, and I still don't have it that high, but I do recognize why people have it there.

Admittedly, my opinion on the gameplay itself has gone down from my last playthrough. It's good, but towards the end enemies just get too tanky for my liking and some materials for upgrades are hard as hell to collect.

The open world is stunningly beautiful, I'd say it's even better than Red Dead Redemption 2, and while not as packed with detail or stuff to do, there are still plenty of activities to occupy your time. Not to mention the absolutely fucking incredible OST to accompany it.

The story is great. The characters are even better. Killing Lord Shimura this time probably helped me see. Jin Sakai is a great example of how to write a character, even if he's still not better than Sucker Punch's best protagonist, Cole MacGrath.

Overall, I overhated it, game is fantastic. Still kinda overrated by some people
