FF3 on DS has one of the most beautiful opening intro's ever. That CG movie really sells the game and it's interpretation of the characters and it's world is definitive classic FF in my head.

As for the game it has gotten a graphical overhaul and gave all of the nameless characters names and a tiny personality but at the end of the day it seems superficial. FF3 is a fine game but it's a low tier FF for sure. It does the job system and while it's more indepth than FF1 it still pales in comparison to FF5. FF3 is a fine RPG when it comes to gameplay but those looking for a cool world or story will be left in the dust. Even if comparing it to the OG NES releases. While it certainly plays better than FF2 it doesn't exactly over shadow it either.
