Rifftrax the game based on the popular show/commentary tracks is a great party game and and alright solo game. If you are familar with the jackbox games then rifftrax will feel right at home. Players use phones or any internet based devices as controllers. The basic premise is a clip will play from a movie or short and then pause. Then the players will be prompted to write a funny riff. Then the clip is played back with your riff inserted. Then players vote on which is the funniest. The most points at the end of the game wins. That's it. As simple as that. Easy concept and premise game but I do appreciate some of the things they did here. I really like that your riff is read aloud in a CPU voice and a rather well done one at that. Sometimes it's just funny hearing what I wrote read aloud. The game can be played with a bot which riffs are read from the tream of rifftrax which helps makes this game feel official. Also there is an added jump in and jump out / hosted online play, which is really well done and something not even the jackbox games do. As it works well with the games untimed formula and set up. For the low barrier of entry price Rifftrax the game is an incredilbe game to add to the party for people of wanna play a game but can't play a game. Great for family and non gamers. There was enough here to keep my interests for awhile and even alone was a decent time.
