My favorite game of all time. Literally. The story, the characters, the plot twists, the tragedy, the emotions, every possible touching element of a video game all comes together and makes this game shine. The story is full of mystery and suspense, from all the tragic twists and changes, it really impacts you and you really feel included in what goes on with the S.E.E.S. group. Although like most other persona games, this is a self insert protagonist but in this game it really makes the protagonist feel like a very special character. For the other characters, persona 3 by far has the best line of characters out of all the persona games. Instead of loudmouth Futaba, you've got Fuuka, Yukari, Junpei, and many other characters that just feel a lot more realistic and relatable than others. This game seems to be quite different from the other 2 games (p4, p5) from the change in lightness of the story. Persona 4 and 5 focused on using the power of friendship, truth, and life changing decisions among the overexaggerated lively characters. In persona 3, they focused on difficult challenges, dealing with impostors, and uncovering a very complex mystery of Tartarus and the dark hour with very logical and realistic judgement and reaction. This makes the whole story feel a lot more heavy as you can see and experience the distress of the characters and emotions among them. For graphical standpoints and gameplay, this game came out in 2006 so you really can't expect much. They were the classic early stage 3d graphics and ran really nicely on the little PSP which completely outdid this game for it's age. The gameplay was very simple but very appealing and posed a great challenge. The final boss taking an average of 1 hour to beat, makes a nice tedious challenge for those who enjoy it. In conclusion, persona 3 is my personal favorite game, it respectfully earns all my praise and completely surpassed my expectations. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice long and interesting story game to play through, I hope those who play it will enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you for reading.
