A Short Hike is nothing more than a perfect example of how to make a short, but sweet indie. It's a charming little adventure with a great exploration system, a beautiful soundtrack, and some other cute quirks that show obvious inspirations from Animal Crossing. Even all the characters have great pieces of dialogue that just kept me exploring more and more. This is like a single main quest in an RPG, but you get sidetracked by a bunch of other side quests.

If you're ever feeling down, this is the game to go to. Whether you choose to explore and collect, or simply take the path up to Hawk Peak, there's something special created here.
