Original review

Definitely wanna do a longer review of the game since I feel I missed out a lot on what I said due to the emulated port, There’s a lot of things that’s great positive and negative I’ve noted throughout this new play through and the new content updates while definitely intended at launch are welcome and add a ton of replay value to the original game which felt it lacked content but as it is, I feel this game while badly/poorly designed and way too easy still is kinda fun, can’t wait to do an longer at look on this soon.

“Poorly designed” and “kinda fun” is such a great way to describe this game at launch

if anything the emulated port may have made you like it more. the actual game is horrible

@Speedy
Why not wait until Update 3 drops? At that point we'll have seen its whole hand. That's my plan, alongside recommending an assortment of mods for the PC version to make the game the best it can be

@Dunebot69 That’s pretty much the best way how I’d describe how Frontiers is in a nutshell, a fun bad game

@brockreiher, Please tell why that’s the case? Playing an emulated version especially with my crusty ass Laptop makes the game worse lmao

@SunlitSonota, That’s the plan, I want to do the re review after I do the boost games, with maybe a mod playthrough when I get it on Steam

I think since you're playing in such a simple form you gave the game the benefit of the doubt and assumed the problems were from the emulator. The game is really quite bad

Fair, though i did know at the time a lot of the issues were due to the actual game

As someone who played the game on a dusty stone slab from the Stone Age (aka my Switch, objectively the worst way to play), I don’t think the game is particularly bad. Plenty of issues, but the only time I ran into something genuinely unacceptable was when Sonic would go off the 2D plane in a 2D section, causing him to fall to his doom.
