Sometimes a game doesn't have to be 30 hours long, sometimes spending 2 hours with a fun little climb to the top of a mountain is all you need. And A Short Hike delivers, having enough fun side content to keep you busy for just a little extra longer after you've finished the Hike. It also exceeds in its writing, with all the NPCs having a couple of lines of funny and interesting dialogue, as well as a number of quite sweet lines and an over all message about trying your best. The music also holds a special place in my heart, being excellent study music that will never leave my playlist.
