The bomb being a fake-out feels like a lazy explanation for the characters surviving that whole ordeal. It's like the writer realized at the last hour that he/she couldn't have Kiryu poetically dying with Ryuji, in the arms of mommy cop, because they had to make a third game.

Also, that whole thing about Kiryu abandoning Haruka and Date in the helicopter — his adoptive daughter and one of his best friends/allies, who flew all the way out to the Millennium Tower, risking themselves being trapped in the ensuing explosion of Terada's bomb just to save him — just because he was in love... I don't know, I really think it goes against his character and the way it has been represented up until now.

Aside from that, the game's great... except for the moments the studio decided would sound better with a SiM song, instead of the original Jazz soundtrack. I hate those changes with the burning passion of a thousand suns.
