Devil May Cry was my fist Hack n' Slash game, I played it when I was in my middle teen years just 4 years ago, I've heard many things about it up to that point and while I didn't have any consoles that could play DMC up to that point since it was coming out on Switch I figured I'd give it a shot, I did and I'll say this game had me like a fucking fish, hook line and sinker, I remember being so enamored by this game, loving nearly every aspect of it, from it's stylish and over the top combat to it's cool as hell protagonist Dante, this game was hitting me in all the right places and I had a hell of a lot of fun with it, my favorite weapons out of everything are Sparda, due to it's long range and it just looking super cool, and Ifrit the hot as hell gauntlets Dante can wield, being able to punch, kick, shoot fire balls and give a good ol round house kick to any demon in the vicinity, and knocking around demons enough to get an S Rank was always super satisfying, and the music is just the chefs kiss, from tracks like Red Hot Juice, Psycho Siren, Flock Off and my favorite out of all of them Ultra Violet are all classified bangers that I'll even listening to by themselves, even Eva's more mellow theme is still a nice listen, my only gripe with this game is that you can't reselect missions, so if you wanted to play a particular one you needed to start a new save file, but other than that I consider DMC1 to be a great action game that is still worth revisiting to this day,
thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
