This is a game which I have played multiple times before, having restarted a lot as I could never get a character build that I enjoyed playing long enough. As a RPG (roleplaying game) you have the ability to customize the look and skillset of your character in the latest itteration of the 50’s influenced post-apocalyptic series, this time in the Boston Commonwealth. You can play as a sniper, a brawler, a charasimatic detective (that’s what I did), or whatever you want. There are clothing items across the map to gather as you play and really make the character your own while you follow the story of The Sole Survivor of Vault 111 who emerges from an underground bunker (vault) where his family was experimented on and placed in cryo-sleep for 200 years. The character’s son is stolen and their spouse (based on the sex you choose) is killed in the process. As the revitalized player, you have to search the nuclear wasteland while fighting raiders, creatures, and other opponants. You can build a settlement, join a faction to influence the game’s story, or just adventure on your own and do what you want while you unlock new skills to strengthen yourself. I finished the game and all included DLC (additional content) over the course of 123 hours.
