While this game has a lot of the innovations that would later be used to full effect in Earthbound, I can't get past the slow pacing, awkward controls or how boring I find playing this game. Just getting out of the house at the start of the game is a confusing awkward pain in the ass. I'm sure this game was pretty advanced for its time, but I can't get past how dated it feels to me.
