For the less mechanically experienced gamer, this would be a pretty good gateway drug into Outer Wilds and similar games, being not only a time loop game but also one with 'knowledge-based gating'... the emerging tongue-in-cheek term for these being 'metroidbrainia'.

A charming but mid Zelda-like. If I had to point to one this feels like, it's most like Minish Cap. I liked the framing device of the grandfather telling his grandkids a story, and wish more had been done with the idea of him occasionally letting them (and by extension the player) choose what happens.
